1. Data controller
The person responsible for processing personal data is RICARDO PEIRO JIMENEZ.
Address: Carrera 43G #19-158, Medellín, postal code 050021, Colombia.
Email: privacy@synikos.com. Telephone: +34 711277422.
The controller uses the trade name Synikos Modular Projects to develop and communicate its activities.
2. Personal data we may process
The website does not currently offer user accounts, newsletter subscriptions or a structured contact form. If you contact SYNIKOS voluntarily by email or by choosing to open WhatsApp from a link on the website, we may process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company, contact details, project information and the contents of your message.
Technical data may also be processed by the hosting, security or communications providers necessary to operate the website. Please do not send sensitive personal data or information that is not necessary for your enquiry.
3. Purposes of processing
Personal data may be used to respond to enquiries; communicate about a project or potential commercial collaboration; make an initial assessment of whether a modular construction opportunity may fit the capabilities of potential providers; maintain records needed to manage communications and commercial relationships; and protect the security and proper operation of the website.
SYNIKOS acts as a commercial facilitator. Technical specifications, final suitability assessments, quotations, contractual terms and execution commitments are provided by the relevant manufacturer or provider, not by this website.
4. Legal basis and authorisation
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable Colombian data-protection law, including Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing regulations, where applicable. Where prior authorisation is legally required, it will be requested through an appropriate mechanism. Information voluntarily provided to make an enquiry may be used to respond to that enquiry and manage the resulting communication, subject to applicable law.
5. Recipients and service providers
Personal data is not sold. Access may be given, where necessary, to technology providers supporting website hosting, security, email or communications, subject to their role and applicable safeguards.
If you ask SYNIKOS to explore a project with a potential manufacturer or provider, relevant project and contact information may be shared with that provider only as reasonably necessary to assess the opportunity and facilitate the requested connection. Where appropriate, this will be done after explaining the proposed connection and obtaining your confirmation.
6. International transfers
Some technology or communications providers may process or store information outside Colombia. Where this occurs, SYNIKOS will apply the requirements and safeguards imposed by applicable Colombian law. The use of WhatsApp may also involve processing by the service provider under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. Retention
Information will be retained for the period reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry, assess or follow up on the opportunity, maintain any resulting commercial relationship and comply with applicable legal obligations. It will then be deleted, anonymised or securely retained where the law requires retention.
8. Data subject rights
Subject to applicable Colombian law, you may know, update and correct your personal data; request proof of authorisation where applicable; obtain information about its use; submit enquiries and complaints; and request deletion or withdrawal of authorisation where legally available. You may also refer a matter to the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) as provided by law, after completing the applicable procedure with the data controller.
To submit a request or complaint, contact privacy@synikos.com. The request should identify you and describe the right you wish to exercise. Requests will be handled under the applicable legal procedure and deadlines.
9. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Information about other people
If you provide personal data relating to another person, you must ensure that you are authorised to share it and that any information or authorisation required by law has been provided.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, the services offered or applicable law. The current version will be published on this page.
12. Contact
For questions about this Privacy Policy or the processing of personal data, contact privacy@synikos.com.
